The Owl Nebula (also known as Messier 97, M97 or NGC 3587) is a planetary nebula approximately 2,030 light years away in the northern constellation Ursa Major. The estimated age of the Owl Nebula is about 8,000 years. It is circular with faint internal structure.
This target was a bit of an afterthought, and the obstruction to the North of the scope prevented me to go as deep as I would have liked. I particular I would have like to go more forcefully after the faint outer shell. But here it is anyways, RGB and SHO.
