IC 405 (also the Flaming Star Nebula, SH 2-229, or Caldwell 31) is an emission and reflection nebula in Auriga surrounding the variable star AE Aurigae.
The Flaming Star is in the close vicinity of the Tadpole Nebula, also imaged on this site. The dataset is narrow band, SHO, with very low OIII signal, but strong Ha (as one would expect) and very respectable SII signal.
